Video Of The Day: How To Fuck Up Your Child

Toxic shame in the making, courtesy of your mom.

Or, how to learn you’re an horrible person, for mistakes you actually didn’t commit.

Astonishing and repulsive. To not just film herself psychologically torturing her own child but then to publish it! All in the name of the mother’s self-centered pursuit of her own entertainment.

Kids are manipulable … duh. But an adult’s teasing must have the salutary effect of expanding the imagination of the little one’s mind — all is not what it seems, son, beware of straightforward credulity. The twinkle in the eye, the wink, is an imperative element. Children have no defense against practical jokes, con jobs, and lies; such defenses must be developed precisely through teasing.

To play an adult-level joke on a child with a straight face, and to draw it out past the kid’s abject horror and fear, and to let it linger there, is tantamount to child abuse, a betrayal of trust. Parents have always been shitty in places, only now we get to see that shittiness amplified and venerated online. (Ha ha, did you see the snot at the end!) They have no understanding of the proper use of authority because they remain children themselves, with no one to shame them for their immaturity.

And the mother will have no idea what she has done wrong. Like the kid, she just can’t comprehend all that has happened, bewildered by her own participation in the incident. “How could I have spent $50,000!” = “Why is my child so fucked up now!” Only the latter is no joke with no “April Fool’s” relief coming.

People will say, oh the boy will forget about it and it won’t hurt him, but if she did something like this once, she’s probably made a habit of humiliating him. As far as I’m concerned, she’s a sadist and an unfit mother. Especially since she thought it was funny and put it on YouTube.

Oh lighten up. It’s pretty funny.

I actually wish my parents did far MORE to challenge my sense of incredulity. My basic nature is to take everyone at face value and I’ve gotten screwed over hard in the past because of it.

Why was a kid that young surfing eBay on an iPad?

Really, why?

Why?

Why? Why? Why? His dad and mom are trying to turn him into a feminized shopaholic?

..Ok, I laughed. Will I go to hell? Wouldn’t do it to a kid myself , but I laughed.
