The rationalization hamster is a magical creature.

When you lack logical rigurosity and the willingness to change your ideas to fit uncomfortable data and facts, magical thinking helps you wrap the unknown into beautiful lies that make you feel good.

The rationalization hamster is a magical creature.

Hmmm. Curious situation. If you admit that you want to bone that cute chick in the second video, you have to deny that she knows more than you, else you DLV.

That’s why I cannot rationalize taking serious advice from girls I want to hook up with. Oy vey.

This post makes me realize I’m using the hamster in possibly positive situations. Yohami can you give an example of how to destroy potential hamsterization in possibly positive situations?

ie a former model in a relationship now gave me over the top IOI’s at a party the other day: hugging me in private, feeling my abs, rubbing my arm and I told myself “she’s probably angry at her BF and just desperate for attention and not actually attracted to me” so I left her alone. (I say “she’s not really into me” a lot when I get strong IOI’s.)

If she behaves like that with you when she's in a relationship, she's bad news. But let's say you consider going there. She either thinks your're her gay harmless friend or she wants to bang you.

The key is the eye contact. If she sustains it in anticipation and does unconscious weird stuff with her libs and touches you way too much, chances are she wants you. You dont have to "think" anything here, nor that she is into you nor that she isnt. Act. With your body. Grab her. Tease her. Demonstrate interest. If she gets aroused and responds positively to your advances she's into you, if she doesnt, she's not. Regardless of what you think.

i`ve read Rand`s book, you motivated me.

You can`t measure the kind of effort must be made for a born portuguese language reader to read philosophy books in english.

I`ve read her book, and is a precious opportunity to understand the grounds where feminism was born. Rationalization made feminism possible. Rationalization was possible thanks to Immanuel Kant`s philosophy.

Kant`s philosophy stated that:

“Nobody can be certain of anything”;
“It may be true for you, but it’s not true for me”;
“Nobody is perfect in this world”;
“Nobody can help anything he [or she] does”;
“It may have been true yesterday, but it’s not true today”;
“I can’t prove it, but I feel that it’s true”, and so on.

Specially this last one, the feeling that anything is true leads to create a reality where what one thinks and fantasizes can become reality, through rationalization and a distorted sense of reality.
She din`t quoted feminism directly, but her critics on evil philosophies reach feminism [as evil] as well.

I don`t recommend read the entire book from cover to cover. Since it`s a compilation of articles, they can be read separately. I`d recommend reading all the chapters, because i did.

I dont like Kant. You cant trust a guy who never left town to think anything that can be applied universally.
